The Aging Brain in Market Place (June 24, 2016 - 3:45 PM)

For marketers, an aging global population represents real change in the marketplace demographics, as well as the resulting tactics required to successfully turn products into profits. Marketers who have a better understanding of the aging brain, the neuroscience behind how the brain and mind change as a consumer ages (e.g. deeper intuitive understanding, specific knowledge, poorer memory etc.), and how this affects perception of commercial messages and consumption behavior will be better equipped than their counterparts to effectively market to ever-aging shoppers.

This talk provides the audience with an overview of the aging brain and how it affects older consumers’ perceptions and activities in the marketplace and how marketers could most effectively use this knowledge to tailor their marketing to an aging population.

Speaker: Brynn Winegard
