This speech explains a new methodology which can be used in purchasing behavior studies by utilizing functional near-infrared (fNIR) spectroscopy; a low-cost, non-invasive and wearable optical brain imaging methodology. The findings suggest that, purchasing behaviour can be predicted with high accuracy. This system is a strong alternative for traditional conjoint pricing research.

With the new neuroimaging technology it is now made possible for marketing professionals to conduct price, preference and product tests and predict consumer behaviour with high accuracy.
